My first NYFW post is coming to you from the cozy white sheets of my bed at the Gansevoort Park Avenue. I'm sipping my first coffee and trying to gather my thoughts for the day. This is the first moment I've had to be able to stop and share with you guys. I can't wait to discuss detailed information about my trip. I really believe these NYFW post I plant to write will be so useful for you guys! For those of you that aren't bloggers, I think it'll be a really interesting inside look into this entire world.
Enough of that for now, lets talk about Aveda. I've always been a fan of Aveda. I use their products regularly and they're one of the few places I trust to add color to my hair. The Tibi show was located in South Port and of all the places in NY, I seem to be the fondest of that location. It feels closest to home whispering the aesthetic of Charleston. I checked in and headed back stage where I could feel the energy buzzing and hopeful for the show ahead. There was a good level of excitement, and while I know everyone must have been running on little to no sleep, it didn't feel that way. Although busy, everyone seemed focus and collected with an ease that I didn't feel at another other show.
I was ushered in and asked to pick from four hair styles. I went with the fishtail braid that I felt best mirrored my outfit. Allen Ruiz was the stylist behind this gorgeous braid and in true form of what I imagine is expected of a hair stylist at fashion week, he whipped up my braid with a quickness! It took much longer to place what felt like an entire pack of bobby pins in my head! The result was an absolutely stunning and firmly held in place fishtail braid! A quick spritz of hairspray and I was finished. We then went outside for a quick photo session for Avedas team.
I left feeling bouncy and beautiful in my braid! Thank you Aveda for inviting me backstage and Allen for the beautiful style. I had a wonderful time!
