Chunky Knit | How To Add Detail Without Feeling Bulky

Chunky knit sweaters are a staple this time of year. Throwing them on with a pair of jeans or wrap skirt is an easy winter go-to right? However, as cozy and flexible as they are, they're not the most layering friendly. Often too bulky, I know I've personally felt victimized by Regina George... I mean felt stifled by not being able to layer my chunky knit. :) A cure for the chunky knit 'mehs' is adding extra sparkle or detail with accessories.

I'm wearing the Warm Me Up Turtle Neck from Chicwish. Immediately, I was drawn to the unfinished edges and neutral rust color. I layered with an embellished choker from Venus.

"Make it more visually interesting." If I had a nickel for every time I've used that phrase. If you're ever feeling a bit too ordinary, think outside the box. Sometimes that means taking a risk like adding a chunky choker to your chunky turtleneck knit. Thankfully taking a chance in the fashion industry isn't that big of a deal so if you don't succeed the first time, well you know the saying. I paired my knit with the Chloé Nile, and while yes, it's entirely impractical, it's every bit of what I'm talking about here.
